FAMILY!!!
Where do I even begin?? So much has taken place this past
week. We went on a finding spree! We meet some pretty awesome people. .and some
pretty crazy people. Tuesday was a rough day. . . there was NO ONE out! No one
was walking I guess it must have been TOO HOT for people. But that night we
resulted in knocking doors. We knocked on one door and the lady wasn't
interested. We are doing something new. We are asking people if "we can
leave them with the peace and blessings from our Savior Jesus Christ" If
they say yes, we pray with them. The Elders leave a priesthood blessing, we
sister's leave a blessing without the priesthood of course. It is SUPER COOL!!!
This will double our baptisms throughout the mission, but until we see that
happen it is definitely doubling our potentials. The spirit is so strong with
we do this. It is INCEDIBLE!!
Wednesday is rained ALL DAY!!!! Here is the miracle. That
morning we took a trip to the DMV so I could get my new licence. We get there,
I have ALMOST all the right paper work. I needed one more paper from the people
here at our apt. complex. So we drive all the way BACK home, get the paper then
drive ALL the way back. (That wouldn't be big deal if we didn't have to
watch our miles) I ahev all the papers and within 30 min I receive my new
FLORIDA licence!!! HAPPY DAY. . soo cool! We eat lunch then get on our bikes,
and that is when it started to rain. Katherine was with us. We bike to the this
one place where we had an appt. but the guy wasn't there. We are soaked to the
bone but having so much fun! We bike to the next place, and along the way we
met a lady named Lorez, who moved here in Aug from New York. She is super
sweet! She didn't have time for us to leave a blessing with her but returned
the next day. She is so positive. We know and she knows that we were supposed
to meet her to share with her the Message of the Restoration. It was nearing
dinner time and we were still out. We bike home to change our clothes and get
dry for dinner with a member. While we were coming home we cut through a
neighborhood. A car started honking at us, We keep biking but we do wave. This
car was pulling away from the community mailbox. They honk again, this time
waving for us to follow them to their house. We turn around and go to their
house. Me thinking the whole time "THIS NEVER HAPPENS!!!!" and
praying that is going to be positive. The 4 kids go inside the house and the
parents start talking to us. They are talking like they are members. "We
didn't know there were girl missionaries!" They ended up asking us tons of
questions! We are going over there tomorrow morning! SOOOO LEGIT!!!! We biked
off. No way had that ever happened to us before. PURE MIRACLE and tender mercy
from our Father in Heaven. We have a strong testimony that when we obey the Law
of the Land, the Lord will bless us. Ever since I got my licence we have been
blessed with people. We started the week with ZERO gators and ended with week
with FIVE! soo cool!!!
