First week in Florida

Hello Everyone! Including my Wonderful Family Members

Can you believe is has been a week that I have been here in Florida!! I sure can't. Lol but can you believe that is has been ONE MONTH on Wednesday since I have been a set apart missionary!!! I sure can't!
I am excited to tell you about my week and how the Lord is blessing me. So put on your seat belts! And lets go on a week ride!

My First companion is Sister Megan Homer- some of you might know her. . (Treble and all your friends). .  We were happy to know that we know the same people. It was fun to discover this. She is so great and knows so much. She has been out 15 months. She is from Sandy, and Child #7 of 8. I love her. We are serving in the College Park East area, which consists of the Singles ward. YAY! Ha-ha we cover the University of Central Florida campus. Of course, my first week was the LONGEST week of my life. It was spring break so has you can imagine NO ONE was home. We did HOURS of tracking and knocking doors, which was very interesting, we talked to a few people and got return appointments, but as we would go back the next day, they weren't home. So I know how to knock doors, it is just learning what to say to get people to be home when we come back. We did get one return apt that were home. They are baptism, hard-core, so once they started "teaching" us the spirit wasn't there. . 2 1/2 hours later, of getting nowhere we left. A few minutes later as we were eating dinner down the street one of the guys that was in the lesson walked in. Such a miracle. We asked him what he thought and gave him a Book of Mormon. The Lord is looking out for his children that need the Gospel in their life. I am not sure if it will go anywhere, but I still pray.
I am looking forward with great confidence for this week, as Spring break is over! YAY! I hope the work picks up big time!!

There are a few people that the sisters have been teaching before I got here. There is a young guy who is getting baptized this Sunday. He is very excited and looking forward to making those covenants. He will be going to General Conference in April. Love the Kid! He is so great! There is another, We met with him last week and he is looking for a better change and ready to really "plug" into the Mormon church to get a better life. We meet with him tomorrow, as he has prayed about a specific baptism date. We have been praying hard for them all.

Church was awesome yesterday; I got to meet most of the members. It really is a great ward! And I think I am going to enjoy it. It is like home so why wouldn't it be great. I am excited to get the members excited for Missionary work and hope that we can work with the ward mission leader- who is no where near being like Bryce- with help. . We can get there! :-) I said the opening prayer in Sacrament meeting- - being the New Sister. Ha-ha

This week we are having a Mission Conference- for the whole mission (180 missionaries) with a special guest of ELDER BEDNAR!!!! He and President Hall are really good friends so we get to meet with him. . Later that same day, Elder Bednar is putting on a fireside for ALL YOUNG ADULTS in the Florida area. We are really excited to listen to an Apostle of the Lord, well, just to be in the same room with him. We can't wait.

Since I am in a singles ward. . We don’t get feed like most missionaries do . . . SO...if you feel generous. . I would love some EASY DELICIOUS recipes. . Please pass them to me! We would love to make some extra delicious things.

I love you all so much and hope that everyone is doing well and is happy! Pray for missionary opportunities, and open your mouth! You never know who is looking to change their life!!!

P.S. Does everyone think I am dead or something?? I WOULD LOVE SOME MAIL!!!!
