Family and Friends!
Mom- how was the BYU game? Was that the game against U.C.F.? Dad you look great in the purple tie! I cried when I saw you in it! Thank you! LOVE YOU LOTS Right now I am eating a cookie. . SO DELICIOUS! P.S. I have gained weight. . So I shouldn't be eating this cookie, but hey I am a missionary so it will be shed in no time. . Ha-ha NOT! I was able to go back to College Park for the Baptism. That is when I said all my farewells, and "let go" of my home. It was hard!!! But now I get to move on and get lost in the Family ward here and find families to teach and baptize! The family ward is very different from the singles ward. I am having a rough time but leaning on the Lord so much because I can only do this with HIS help. Ha-ha all the feelings that I didn't have to deal with, I am now dealing with. Missing being you all, and being around little kids beings the homesickness I thought I wouldn't have to deal with. I want to hold all the little ones and love them. But leaning on the Savior is helping me get through. I love the area . . . learning to love the area, it is a lot slower than my last, so I am trying to get the work moving fast because I am running out time. I hit 8months on Kimm's birthday! This Sunday!! Lol We have found a lot of people this past week. Our teaching pool is small, but growing!!! I see that here in a family area, knocking doesn't work so we are trying to be creative, and striving to work with the members to get referrals. We did meet this lady the other day that we taught last night. She is a mom of 8!! HAHA and all her kids are over the age of 8, minus one. So they range from 18-7. We taught her and her two boys last night, and they accepted baptism. We will go back on Tuesday and she promised to have all her other kids there! I love this work. It is hard and so worth it! We are teaching a young adult- Matthew. He is looking for a life change. He is a bouncer and is here living with his mom for 10 weeks while he recovers from neck surgery. We tracked a lot this week. We are working hard. Sister Reynolds and I are team training a new-b. Sister Ploth is from Washington State. We get along great and love working! There is a man in the ward who knows Chris Durr. Small world. They grew up together. Please send all mail to the mission office. I gave you all the address last week. I need support and love! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! Thank you for all the pictures of Mason, and Wesley's Baptism. I can't wait to hear the story and the testimonies! It looked like a powerful service! I love you all so much and can't wait to hear from you all. I pray for you often and send you my love every night while I am on my knees.
All My Love!
Sister Shannon Durr
