This week for us was super busy. We got a lot done and talked to a lot of people We had President Interviews on Tuesday with a special training. I learned so much. About how to better myself and work more than I can and am. I love President and Sister Hall. They are called of God to have stewardship over this AWESOME mission!! That same day we taught three lessons to three of our awesome friends! I am not sure how to separate the lessons because all three were very spiritual and uplifting. I love when the spirit guides our words and lessons to fit the needs of those we are teaching!
Our African friend gave us good news! He found another job!!! YAY so starting in May he will be coming to church :-) we couldn't be more happy for him and grateful that the Lord does provide a way for His children to come closer to Him. How I love my Savior Jesus Christ and Father in Heaven!!!
How did the Family fast go? I was thinking about everyone all night! I love you all so much!
One Wednesday we taught a new friend. He has LDS family and is from Venezuela. We taught him about Joseph Smith, The First Vision. The first thing he said was "Wow I wish I knew this sooner, that is so awesome!" He didn't show up to church and we aren't sure why. But we are blaming it on FINALS! It is sucking the life out of all the students. But I guess that is what school does to you. We are happy to be meeting with him and know that something good will come from teaching him this Restored Gospel!!
We had cleaning checks on Thursday. . haha that first thing that was said was"Wow this looks like an Elders Apt!" WHAT!! hahaha there are things that we can do to make it look better than what it already does. Mind you, we are clean sisters and take care of the Home we live in :-) Thursday was a fun adventurous hard working day. We saved Arnold!!! We learned that we can save more than people. What do I mean? Arnold is a water turtle. . and an UGLY turtle at that. We say him stuck in the dirt, He was trying to get out but the more he moved his flipper legs the bigger his hole got. While I took the pictures, Sister Homer picked him up and moved him to the grass. IT WAS HUGE! I wanted a picture so I picked him up also and then he went on his way back to where ever! lol It is so awesome!
Then after a long day of teaching and knocking more doors on our way home, there was a car accident. . that we caused!! hahaha seriously! Okay it really wasn't caused BY us, but people weren't paying attention AT ALL.. We were crossing the walkway and one car had stopped to make a left turn and waited for us to cross. . well the cars behind him weren't paying attention. Tires and smoke consumed the air and three cars hit each other! lol RIGHT in front of our faces. We couldn't stop laughing but they were all fine and safe and such so we road on :-)
Friday we took one of our friends to a Temple tour. My first time. It was cool. and very informative. Our investigator came with lots of questions that he had from watching the DVD "Between Heaven and Earth" that we gave him to watch. And all his questions were answered. We then sat in the Lobby area. and Basically took a bath in the spirit! It was awesome, I loved it. Talking to him after he loved it! and couldn't stop taking pictures of the big beautiful building!
Saturday was an intense long day for us. We were uneasy about transfer calls. . but we cleared our mind and worked hard!!! We even had dinner with an investigator. I know how to make dumplings "pot stickers" from scratch! and they were DELICIOUS!! I got the challenge to eat 20. . I didn't back down! hahaha We even got lots to take from for the next day! We got home that night and waited by the phone has we planned for the next day. 10:30 HIT and we ARE SAFE!!! NO TRANSFER CALLS FOR US!! We were so happy and thanked the Lord for keeping us together for another six weeks!
Sunday was awesome like normal. We had a Missionary Member fireside which was good. not much to report on that. Then on our way home from the fireside the AP's called us. Telling us that we are not cleared for transfers and there was a possibility that we might be split up. One sister who was coming from the MTC is now NOT coming. The uneasy feeling from the day before came back to both of us. We had no idea what is going to happen to our area or companionship. But we prayed hard and came to the conclusion like we did last night that we will go where the Lord wants us to go. Like I said before the Lord can see things that we cannot. We were to get a call today telling us our fate either way, Staying together or going.
President Hall called us this morning. Sister Homer is leaving me!!! I cried. President Hall is putting both of us on special assignments. My new Companion is Sister Christensen. We came here together and were in the MTC together. So both greenies! I can't believe it. My first emotion was sadness of course. Not knowing what or how I am to help Sister Christensen. She is dealing with A LOT of homesickness. Going through these feelings for 2 hours now have brought tears to my eyes and me to my knees. I am overwhelmed with the Love that I am feeling from my Heavenly Father, that He trusts me enough to help another sister who is struggling.
Philippians 4:13 "I can do ALL things though CHRIST which strengthen ME"
Transfers will take place tomorrow, which means I will be the driver for our car!!! EEK FL drivers are crazy and you have to be aggressive here.
I know that the Lord will help me in everything! Missionary work is HIS work, not mine so I know that I can serve Him and those around me, especially another greenie! I am scared lol not going to lie. I love my Savior and all that He does to strengthen me, to help me grow and stretch and mold me to whom I need to be!
I love you all and hope that all is well in your lives.
PRAY FOR ME!!!!!
