Hello EVERYONE!
What a day this has been thus far. P-Days are for sure a day of crazy business and not really relaxing and recuperating. Lol So this email is coming at a different time because we had to get to a computer that worked. . . So here I am :-)
This week FLEW by!! So fast. I feel like I was just emailing yesterday. We worked hard, we taught lessons and learned the important things in missionary life on the way. Conference was such a blessing we were excited to use some of the talks given in the lessons that we gave. To one investigator from Africa- he works on Sundays and can't get it off, so we showed him Elder Perry's talk on Keeping the Sabbath day Holy. IT WORKED!!! YAY he finally came to the conclusion that he needs to start looking for a new job to quit this one that he has. We are praying so hard... and even keeping our eyes peeled for places that are hiring.
This week we also had sister exchanges. It was fun. All Sister Davis and I did was knock doors. I learned a lot with the way she talked to people. We got two potential investigators out of it! YAY. I learned to much. But it was good to get Sister Homer back the next morning. lol
Also this week we meet with an investigator that we found. We set a baptism date with him for April 24. He is really excited and we are working close with him to get him more prepared. That was an awesome lesson and he has been reading and coming to church, and praying. He loved church yesterday and learned a lot. The ward I am in is great with fellowshipping, so we didn't worry for him and such! SO GREAT!!
Friday was a good learning day! haha We met with the agnostic and he DROPPED US!!! BARF. We didn't see it coming at all. We talked with him on Wednesday and he was having a hard time with some things that he read on the internet because on the internet, the only valid place you should go to research the LDS church is mormon.org) We cleared some things up with him, then Friday he finally decided that he didn't want to learn anymore. He has a hard time getting over the history of the church with Blacks and so on. . blah blah blah. . . Which we ALL KNOW that this is NOT THE CASE today. It was frustrating no matter what we told him. And the only thing that is stopping him from KNOWING all the truth is Prayer. I can not tell you how important it is to go to God and ask him yourself if something is true. Because all truth will come from the Lord, He would not and "can not" bring himself to pray. So we will not be teaching him anymore. . but he "will let us know when he is ready again" really? How can someone who is looking for more spirituality in their life and not TURN TO GOD!!!! Where is one going to get it? NOT MAN! LOL That was an interesting day. See why I learned so much! :-)
Saturday was also AWESOME! We contacted and church headquarter referral. LOVE THOSE!!! She is awesome and is looking for more. Her sister is learning about the church in the Miami Mission and so when she was visiting home she was also in on the lesson that the Elders there taught. She then came home and requested more. and we are the LUCKY sisters that get to teach her!! We love her so much already!!
We had three investigators come to church! YEEHHAAA! It was a good fast and testimony meeting with food after :-) It was a good day one that I was pleased about with my head hit the pillow. And now we are here. There is a lot going on this week on top of meeting with our investigators, getting more investigators we have President Interviews!! I am so excited and happy about this. Transfers are also NEXT WEEK!! Cant believe that 6 weeks are already over. If anything happens we will find out this coming up Saturday. We hope that nothing happens to us but we both have mixed feelings. The Lord can and will do anything!
I love you all so much and look forward from hearing from ANYone who writes. I Pray for all of you individually and your families.
FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!!!!
