Share Your Light!

KNOCK KNOCK . . . . . (whose there?) . . . . . SISTER DURR!
HELLO EVERYONE!
This week went by so fast! I can't believe it. Time is speeding up :-) This week marks Four Months! Stop blinking right! When one is busy, especially in Missionary work time just speeds up. You lose all track of time really. We were so busy last week that I can't believe I am sitting here in front of the computer once again emailing. . I feel like I was just here, it doesn't seem possible.
Kimm. . thank you so much for sending me that AWESOME video clip of Lini. . she is looking like you more and more! chubba wubba SO CUTE! Bryce you deserve the look of death. . she will cut you! hahaha so cute! I could watch the clip but I could not hear it. . which is okay. Just watching it made me laugh so hard :-)

We gave 20 lessons this week! Insane! That was a goal we had set and the Lord helped up reach it! We will get it this week. . once again another busy one is ahead of us! We set two baptism dates this weekend.
Nicole: The Elders we share a car with tracked into her. She is awesome! If she is serious about changing her life she will be a rock in this church. We go and see her again this week. We can't wait! Then there is Sean- cute little man from China. He is so funny. We gave him a Chinese Book of Mormon on Saturday and he was SO EXCITED!!!! He can now understand what he is reading! The challenge will be to get him to accept the invite to church. They both accepted the Lord's invitation to be baptized on July 10, 2011
Wednesday was an interesting busy day. . We taught a girl named Kristen and her two friends. One of her friends rolled two joints during the lesson. . . after the lesson we got invited to stay for their "session".. . hahaha. . . We kindly declined the invitation to get high and explained to them why we don't do drugs. Kristen agreed with us, We look forward to going back and teach her the Word of Wisdom in better description and really commit her to strive to live it.
Mom- Thank you for sending me some awesome idea's for ways to teach Obedience. I got it on Saturday. Unfortunately This week we are going on exchanges with the sister's near by, So I wont be in my area to teach the lesson that we plan. But I know it will be a really good lesson . when we plan it. :-) For exchanges This will be the first time, in the three months that I have been here in college park, I am leaving my area to serve for a day in another area. Weird but I am excited to see what a family area is like.
We got fed a lot this week! From members and a couple that serve in the mission office. You might recall that last Monday our washer broke. that was an adventure. . going to the near by laundry mat to wash our clothes. . $5.00 later. . man! haha We got a new washer on Friday, the couple that brought it to us took us to dinner! I loved it! New washer and dinner provided in one day! We were so blessed. We also were fed by some members, and we had great lesson's with them! Dinner with members don't happen very often. . most times not at all, so to have two dinners this week from members of our ward was a real treat and blessing for us.
Yesterday was also a very special day!  Our dear recent convert Kent received the Aaronic Priesthood :-) and he received his limited use temple recommend!!!! HAPPY DAY!!! He is really growing in the gospel. and it is awesome to see the difference- the change a person can make in a month! He will be going to the temple with some ward members this Tuesday. We are so excited- a part of us wishes we can go with him. But he is planning and preparing now to serve a mission! So in one year. . I will still be here in Florida, when he gets his call, I hope to be near by to be able to see him receive more happiness. I LOVE THIS WORK how sweet it is!! I love serving where I am!  The singles area is hard. . but awesome to see that not only is one person changing for the better. . their whole future is changing. .and that is changing their future family, that they will teach and raise in this gospel!! What an incredible blessing!
I am doing excellent! Working hard and surviving the heat/humidity. How are you all doing?? I hope life is good and that the Lord is blessing everyone. Keep praying and reading the scriptures. I love you all so much and think and pray about you all every night!
Share the gospel with everyone you see and meet.
See= Be a good example so everyone will see light of Christ you have.
Meet= Talk as though the Savior were near by!
All My Love and Smiles!
Sister Shannon Durr
