As you can see from the pictures, We had yet another Baptism Yesterday. Mark was baptized, by Kent (my recent convert) Mark was so happy and just beaming with light all day long! He was so ready for this moment, to be making this promise with our Father in Heaven, to be following in the foot steps of Christ! Next week he will be getting confirmed, and next week Anthony will be getting baptized. They Lord is really blessing us and this area with sending us people that are ready to change their life for the better.
The other Picture is of me, President and Sister Hall took my companions and I out to Dinner one night- To the best place ever. 4 RIVERS- You all would love this place. It is a Texas brisket place- SOOOO GOOOD!!!! We were half way there and I realized that I forgot my name tag. Sister Hall cam through- she had an extra in her bag- So I was Sister Hall for a little time. hahaha Good thing that being a Hall isn't too far off. It was really fun to spend some one on one "family" time with my mission mom and dad.
We got to see President and Sister Hall a lot this past week actually. The circumstances weren't fun but it was such a special treat to see them and have them in our home.
One of my "twins" went home on Friday Morning. She had some medical issues that could not be fixed here out in the field. Don't ask "Sister Durr, what did you do to her!?" lol I didn't do anything to her but work her to the bone! lol okay, but it was so the best that she went home, it was in her best interest and ours and it was what the Lord would have her do at this time so she could get better. I love her to death and she served the time that the Lord wanted her to serve.
So it is just two now. Sister Wilks and I. We are planning on working hard this week and of course in the weeks to come. To get this area back up and running. I have learned so much this past week, I have learned true charity, love and patients. Which is something that I wanted to work on. When you pray to have a Christlike attribute the Lord comes through and give you trails and growing moments to have the Christlike attributes. I have a testimony of this even strong than before.
I am working hard and loving every minute of this work, The Lord's work. I am growing. I am being shaped and molded by the Lord. I feel I am becoming more the person that He wants me to be, the person that I too want to be.
I love you all so much.
Please continue to pray for my companion and this area that I am serving in.
All My Love!
Sister Shannon Durr
