HELLO EVERYONE!!!
This morning we had district P-day. We all got up at 5AM
(sick!!) but worth it because we had a sunrise party on the beach. It is our
district leader’s birthday- Elder Rumsey- so we had a birthday party and took
TONS of pictures!!! SO MUCH FUN! But now I am extremely tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week was INCREDIBLE! We have seen so many miracles
and we see how much the Lord is blessing us. We are finding ourselves thanking
Him more and more as the day goes on! It is such a blessing to be a part of
missionary work especially in the area that we are in. We did exchanges this
past week Sister Ursenbach is a great! She is from Canada so her accent is
thick! She is hilarious once you get her to start talking! We had a ton of fun
for the 24 hours that we were together, but Sister Lima and I were so happy to
be back together!! Hahahaha
Some miracles we have been blessed to be a part of:
Diane - Cecil's
little sister- She has been progressing very slowly, but this past week she has
been repenting and making changes. We followed-up with her on the word of
wisdom. She still had about 5 pots worth of coffee left, but a few weeks ago
she promised she wouldn't buy anymore, and when she was out- she would be out.
She stuck to that promise- but on Saturday she repented even more. . Throwing
away the rest of the coffee she had!! It was so powerful to see her apply the
doctrine in her life! She even accepted baptism on May 5! She was beaming after
the lesson. Her countenance is truly changing. Cecil and Rose are doing
wonderful in being new members. Cecil even dressed in a suite, white shirt and
tie on Sunday! Stunning!! He has really taken to study and prayer and is
learning even more about this gospel. He is excited to exercise the priesthood
to baptize his sister :-)
Gale is
awesome! She is the solid member referral we have been working with. She gets
baptized this Saturday. She is doing missionary work. She is inviting her
neighbors to her baptism; she is preparing them to meet with us! SOOO COOOL!!!!
When we went to teach her on Thursday night we had planned to teach her the
word of wisdom! We shared with her one scripture from 1 Cor. 3:16-17, she
looked at us and was like "You are going to tell me to not drink coffee. .
. (The member has also prepared her and told her a while ago about the Word of
Wisdom) That morning she looked at the member and said "I am going to
learn about the Word of Wisdom today, so I better enjoy this LAST cup of
coffee." We had HUGE smiles on our faces . . . it is very plain to see
that the spirit is preparing her and teaching her. . And had taught her that
morning to stop drinking coffee before we even taught her the blessings that
she was going to be receiving when following God's commandments! IT WAS
INCREDIBLE!!!!! She is so ready for her baptism this weekend!!
Katherine McCante-
is progressing as well. She is retaining everything that we are teaching and is
excited to be getting baptized on April 28; we pushed her date back again because
she is slower at learning. The spirit tells us and we listen. She gives the sweetest,
sincere prayers! She laughs at everything we do. Hahahaha she is a pretty
funny girl herself :-)
The work is moving fast and upward. The Lord very mindful of us
and He knows His elect, those who are ready to receive the gospel at this time.
