Hello EVERYONE!!!
"The days are forever long, the weeks are fast and the
months go by even faster" - Valerie!! THIS IS SOOOO TRUE! Where did
March go?
How was your Easter holiday! What a wonderful time to
reflect on our Savior Jesus Christ, His life and Resurrection!! It is such a
wonderful thing to celebrate! Matthew 28:5-6 "He is not here. He is
RISEN!" I know that our Savior lives!! How wonderful!
This week was wonderful! We had President interviews. The
best!!! We are admonished to have more Faith in this work, in the Lord and
trust that things will happen the way that they are supposed to. I am working
on having more faith; therefore I am making it a part of my studies! Maybe you
can too . . . :-)
We are working with some pretty amazing people. As you may
already know from the picture. Cecil and Rose were baptized on April 7 and
confirmed in church on April 8. Cecil also received the Aaronic Priesthood! It
was a wonderful baptism. President and Sister Hall even made the drive and were
in attendance!! We still can't believe that they are FINALLY members of this
true church. Cecil's sister Diane is next . . . and Cecil will get to baptize
her. We just need to give her a date so she can continue to progress :-) 9
Weeks of hard work and prayer with 100% help from the Lord they made the
covenant with the Lord! PERFECT!
Gale is our first (Florida) member referral and she will
be getting baptized this month for sure. We are waiting for her to pray about
the date we extended. She was at the baptism on Saturday and LOVES everything
about the church. It is REALLY SUPER nice when we don’t have to worry about her
because she already has a friend in the ward and building friendships. I wish
all our gators were from members!
Katherine-is doing really well! We are learning through her how
to teach simply since she has a learning problem, but she too loves coming to
church. The other day we were on bikes, she saw us riding. She rides her bike
to church. Yesterday she wore a dress- her first time since coming to church in
March. This is my thinking- She saw, from us, that you can wear a dress and
ride a bike, thus resulting in her wearing her dress to church :-) Way cool!!
Stephen- We aren't sure what to do with him. He is reading and
everything but he is super arrogant and VERY rude to us- even after all we do
for him, like sending a member to go pick him for church, and then not coming because
he decided to go to another church. Ugg!! So frustrating! But we see that he is
progressing and knows that this is all true. He thinks he is the only one we
teach. We pray so hard for him.
Robert- he is at a standing progression because he is doing all
that we ask but can't get a divorce- it is so hairy and not enough time to
write it all to you. We are trying to get the ward counsels thoughts on him and
how to help him.
We are looking for more and trying to help our other gators
progress and understand the doctrine!
Friday night we went on a temple tour. We had five gators.
The Elders had one and we had some members go with us. The Bishop rented a 15
seater van to take us all there. an hour and a half drive and it was so worth
it!! It was so much fun! The spirit there was incredible and everyone loved the
temple!!
I love You all so much! and hope that the Easter fever never
leaves! I love being a missionary and being a witness to all the miracles!
Thanks for all the support and love!!
